First Things First – Proverbs 25

Read Proverbs 25

Revenge is something that we all want to get on someone who has done us wrong, but it is something that no one wants to happen to them. Trust me, I get it. I have an older bother who was always trying to get me mad, and when he did I did not react very well. We get along great now, but I remember thinking of ways that I could get him in trouble on the daily. As you get older you start to learn that this is not the way to treat people, but that doesn’t mean the urge is gone.

In Proverbs 25, it teaches us that we should actually be serving our enemies rather than seeking out revenge toward them. This is easier said than done, but if we can learn to love those who hurt us and serve them in a Christ-like way, we will be able to transform the world because of God’s love!

Pray about ways that you can be practice loving and serving the people in your life.
