July 7th – Galatians 5

Read Galatians 5.

We see in the first verse that Christ has set us free. But why? what are we supposed to do with this new found freedom? Our natural response might be since Christ has set us free from sin that means we can do what we want since we are forgiven. Thats not quite the case though. If you read verse 6 it says “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.” And then if you read further on down too verse 13 it says “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh, rather, serve one another humbly in love.”

What we do doesn’t matter, its how we show our faith. We need to share our faith in love and serve one another in love. Remember, saved people serve people.

Am I taking advantage of the freedom I have in Christ?

Where can I be serving that I am not currently
