Philly Day Two

Two day camps in one day! For those of us who have been on the Philly trip in the past, two Kingdom Kids camps in one day seemed like a crazy idea, but the kids ministry at Urban Hope has been growing every year. They have so many children that they split them up into two camps. It is exhausting, but oh, so rewarding. I am so proud of how our students have stepped up, and even though they’re hot (did I mention it’s over 90 degrees here?) and tired, they are full of energy and jumping around, singing and dancing with the kids. Most importantly, they are loving the people here and sharing Jesus. Today two of the boys shared during team time how they were able to pray with two kids at today’s camp who gave their lives to Christ. What an encouragement to know that the work we’re doing here is making an eternal difference!

After Kingdom Kids, we were able to have a team fun night. Juli planned a great trip for us. We got to tour the city on a double decker bus. Our guide was awesome and shared some great history. We saw the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Christ Church, and even got to run the Rocky steps and take a group picture at the top. What a great time to relax and have a little fun in between all our hard work.

Thank you, Grace Church, for continuing to pray for the work we’re doing here at Urban Hope. Please continue to pray for endurance for our team, that we can stay positive and focused. We love you and appreciate all of you! We are seeing God at work in our lives and the lives of the wonderful people of West Kensington. Thank you for being a part of it.
