July 17 – Luke 5

Read Luke 5:11-32

Here we see Jesus out eating with people who were looked down on at that time. They were considered to be immoral and unclean. The Pharisees ask how can you eat with these people? He responds with verses 31 and 32. Jesus ย came for those people. This is really convicting to me. A lot of times I see people doing things or acting a certain way and I begin to judge them. Then I read something like this. No matter they do, Jesus still loves them and died for them. If I am called to be Christ-like, why don’t I love them too?

Who have I judged unfairly?

Who do I need to make amends with this week?
