Hello friends and family back home! What a day it’s been. Our morning started bright and early as every morning has, with the whole team diving into the word of God. So cool to see students and leaders spread out throughout the complex eager to learn more about our Father. After which we had the opportunity to travel to a church in the Canaan area. Although we stood there drenched in sweat in a packed, tin building, we were taken away by the beauty of the worship and the hope that comes from knowing that one day we’ll all be in heaven together worshipping our savior in the same language.
We were then welcomed into the home of pastor Sammidy, the pastor of Canaan 1. The first night we arrived here, we learned that Sammidy’s wife was in labor and it wasn’t going well, so our team stopped immediately and prayed for her. At Sammidy’s house, we were all able to meet his new daughter and pray over her life and Sammidy’s family. Powerful moment!
After supper we took the hike up the mountain here in Bercy. We discussed Ezekiel 37, and the valley of dry bones. Verse 5 states, “This is what the Lord God says to the bones: I will cause breath to enter you so you will come to life.” Here in Haiti and with CPR3, we have been learning that the Lord calls us to breath life into the people of this community. From the top of the mountain, we looked all around and prayed that life would be breathed to the people all around. We prayed for people we encountered, for CPR3, for the country of Haiti, and for each of us to be eager to breath the life of Gods truth no matter where we are. Whether Haiti, or right back in Wayne County. It was truly a moving experience. This team is passionate about serving and breathing life as we serve! We are ready for a busy day tomorrow and to continue to allow God to teach and stretch us! -Ally
